Lip bacterial infection is not healing, please help!?
I've suffered from chapped lips for about 4-5 years, recently, it has gone too far and turnt into a bacterial infection. On Saturday my lips were weepy and on Sunday they were completely split and I couldn't talk or smile, I have a red rash, sort of like a hive around the lip area and that is spreading.
On Monday my lips were peeling massive amounts of thick dead skin. I went to the doctors that morning and they gave me antibiotics, things cleared up the next day (not entirely) but it was better than it had been the past two days! Today I have woken up back to square one!
The antibiotics are strong and I'm taking 1 tablet 4 times a day! As you can imagine my lips are sore and irritable, I have been drinking with a straw and find it painful to eat!
Am I just being impatient? I just need someone to tell me these antibiotics will help!! I have photos but could not add them

Mouth sores and inflammation (stomatitis) vary in appearance and size and can affect any part of the mouth, inside and outside. People may have swelling and redness of the lining of the mouth or individual, painful ulcers. An ulcer is a hole that forms in the lining of the mouth when the top layer of cells breaks down. Many ulcers appear red, but some are white because of dead cells and food debris inside the center portion. Some sores are raised and filled with fluid, similar to blisters (in which case they are called vesicles or bullae, depending on size).

Angular Cheilitis:
A deficiency of B2, Riboflavin. Very common on a modern Western diet. Don’t be a vegetarian! Don’t drink any kind of soda, cola, fizzy pop drinks.
Take 1 x B2 and 1x multi-B tablet for a week, then once a week thereafter.
