I accepted a RSVP to attend a dinner, but I haven't gotten a confirmation, its tonight but i don't know if i should go or what...?

I would feel horrible if i went and I wasn't supposed to go.

Generally you don't get a confirmation. If you RSVP'd that you would be attending you need to go. If it is a personal invite you can call and ask if they need anything.

If you were invited.... and you RSVP..... it is presumed by the host that you will attend.

Who sends out confirmations? I've been to a whole lot of weddings and social events with RSVP required.... I don't recall ever getting a note that says.... "Yes we got your RSVP and are expecting you." Because that would be redundant.

If the host invited you it means that they want you there and since you RSPV'd it means that they expect you to be there. You don't normally receive a confirmation because if she didn't want you to be there she wouldn't have invited you.
