Question for call center agents?

Hello,

I am considering working in a call center. I've experienced outbound calling somewhat setting appointments and found I do not like it. People are nasty and yell at you all the time. Therefore, for those of you who have worked in an inbound call center, is it any better since customers are calling you for help instead of something like telemarketing where you are calling a customer looking to sell something? Although I am not selling anything, people are still very nasty and I do not know how much more I can handle. Is working in an inbound call center any better? Do customers still get nasty on the phone?

    In my experience, yes some customers still got nasty and mean, even though it was inbound calls. I also hated the hours, working until 1am.
