Can you travel without a passport?

I will be flying from Ohio to Florida this Friday and I'm wondering if i need a passport to travel. I have been told that i need a passport and some have told me i can fly with my driver license. I was told when flying to any destination within the U.S or International that i would need a passport. I know i need one for International but since I'm flying Domestic, do i still need it? My passport is expired.

Can you travel without a passport? YES

If you have some other Government ID like a Drivers License you can use that instead.

If you have a Passport you can use it if you want to.

Passports are only required if you want to go from one country to another.

Since it is a domestic flight, just bring a driver's license or other government issued picture I.D. A passport is just 1 form of valid I.D. you can use when you travel.

U do not need a passport to fly between any 2 points in the US, a drivers license is more than enough

I'm assuming you are over the age of 18 and citizen or a visitor of legal residence status in the U.S. In either case, your driver's license will be sufficient.

For airport security purposes, valid photo identification issued by a government entity is necessary for air-travel. (ex. passport or driver's license. See link.)

If you are flying within the US, you do not need a passport. You DO need government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license. If you have a valid driver's license, then that's all you need for this flight.
