Porsche 911 GT3 vs 911 Turbo or Turbo S.?

Update:

I am wondering why, when all of the above have, according to Porsche USA data, top speeds within two mph of each other, the GT3 comes equipped with the whale-tail spoiler, where the Turbo and Turbo S have much less obtrusive spoilers. Again, according to stats, the GT3 is lighter and has rear wheel drive vs the all-wheel drive of the Turbo and Turbo S.

I can't figure out why the GT3 needs a

spoiler that is so much larger than the Turbo and Turbo S.

the GT3 is more for track performance than road performance. road performance means primarily going in a straight line. track performance means predictability in handling and a very high limit of performance. by having a huge wing, the GT3 can have more downforce to help high speed cornering performance and it also gives the car a much more track oriented look.

the whale tail spoilers on the older 911 s acted as a spoiler and inducted air into the engine

It may just be looks. However I would also look into tire size.
