I have a self-cleaning oven. Should I take the oven racks out before turning on the self-cleaner or is it okay to leave them in?

    Take them out, the chrome will yellow a bit in the 600F temp of the self-cleaning cycle and you will need to hand wash them with a green pad anyway to shine them back up.

    I take them out since you need to clean it out after the "self clean". The self clean just makes it (gunk) release and wipe out easily.
