Theists: How do you feel about it soon being a possibility for a gay couple to biologically father a child together?

Unfortunately, not likely to be a possibility for two women, just two males to be both biologically related to the child.

Update 2:

In answer to Mutations Killed Darwin Fish's ridiculous comment, it's just not scientifically feasible yet. Why don't you read the article or watch the YouTube clip.

While I totally disagree with the process and the situation, I DO know that the Lord will love those children as much as He loves their homosexual parents.

Make me to know thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me, for thou art the God of my salvation; for thee I wait all the day long. (Psalm 25:4-5)

The technology is not sufficiently well understood. That is: such an effort might very well result in a child with severe health problems (as, for example, has been the case with cloned animals). Because scientists and medical professionals don't know the full effects of such an effort, and because there is reason to believe that there **might** be severe deleterious effects for a child produced by such technology (regardless of the sexual orientation of the parents), it would be immoral - in the extreme - to produce a human child by such a method.

The bottom line: currently, the method is definitely immoral, regardless of the sexual orientation of the parents.

need more science. I've read an article on buzzfeed how it's very difficult for gay couples to conceive, and how the gay couples were talking about it. I'm sure if the gay couples encountered this news, they'd be glad, so why don't you go on and report this news to them.

Wouldn't it be great if we could get human body parts from dead people, and bring a being, made of these body parts, to life?

    "Two males"

which male is going to have the womb? A woman would definitely & necessarily be involved. I haven't heard of an artificial womb yet.

Believing in Jesus and bible means it means nothing to me. Wrong? Twisted? Yet isn't everything? So more things?

Wouldn't be sweet if the kid became straight, Christian?

i'd say they were becoming more evolved by the minute .. im sure after genetic research is even further along we can 'create' all sorts of freaks of nature .. even from a non-theistic viewpoint you have to wonder what the long term ecological repercussions will be from such random meddling with 'nature' though ..

  • Sounds great to me. **** God and his rules. It's not like he's real.

  • "Unfortunately, not likely to be a possibility for two women..." Why don't you think that's sexist?
