Were the pre Christian Irish cannibals?

Ive heard on tv ,that when st.patrick was younger he was captured by Irish warriors who were described as canibals,but they just forced Patrick to watch the tribesmen sheep,no offense,I just wanted to know,as Ireland is not known for being part of the Roman Empire,thus outside of it,only answers please

    Nope, no evidence they were cannibals. There has been some curation of a few bones found in Britain from a slightly earlier period but this doesn't necessarily mean cannibalism; it could be defleshing of the dead before burial.

    No you dumb Asians. Cannibals exist today in VERY brown places, such as paupau new guinne and Africa. Why do your people eat cats and dogs, try again troll.
