Ladies, what do you think of couples where the woman makes more money than the man?
My boss' wife makes more than he does and she's busier than he is. They have a kid, but they both still work. Like if anyone's to stay at home, it would be him, but he's not staying home. Instead he's a department manager at a civil engineering company and is involved in many leadership positions.
What do you think of couples where women make more? Would you think my boss is trying to defend himself against society as a man by being overly ambitious and refusing to be a stay at home dad?

I consider couples where the woman makes more money than the man to be signs of progress.

Well, if the kids are of school age, having a stay at home parent isn't necessary (although it is nice). However, when the kids are < 5, it is important that they have a close relative whom they can bond with and who cares for them. That could me mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, aunt, or uncle. Kids who spend their early years in daycare vs. with a family member have worse outcomes on average in school, behavior, and future earnings.
If both parents are working and putting young children in daycare, they may end up like my uncle and aunt, hating their lives, miserable because of the poor relationship they have with their children.

Maybe he likes his job. Why does one of them have to be a stay at home parent?
