As if they would tell us the number of ex Jehovah Witness members. Figures they won't tell you or they will say that doesn't matter because they come back. Hmmm as if that 8 million number of active members already sounds fake. Why? If you look at the history of numbers and the actual history of their practices and why people left all the time and the disappointment people had for thinking Armageddon was going to come before they died or someone they loved died. So that 8million number sounds fishy. But then I have to remind myself that some people in foreign and remote countries are not aware of how this religion was started in the USA and the daily news of lawsuits.

There are currently close to 8 million active Witnesses, myself included. The number of those who broke their vow to Jehovah continually changes, because many who leave or are disfellowshipped do return. There are 2 in my congregation who were disfellowshipped and recently reinstated. This happened within a years time.
Remember that the nation of Israel was Jehovahs chosen nation but how many of those Israelites remained faithful? Many turned to worshipping idols and rejected Jehovah completely.
The same thing happens today. Jehovah draws people to him and they become his baptized Christian Witnesses, but Jehovah does not force his servants to remain faithful. We have free will. Those who choose to reject Jehovah and his Son know the consequences that will bring, especially when they choose to remain unrepentant and no longer maintain the love and close relationship they once had with both Jehovah and their former spiritual family. It's sad when people turn away from pure worship and some who do even try to turn others away from worshipping and serving Jehovah.
Jehovah's Witnesses are here to stay and nothing will deter us as faithful Christians from worshipping our God, obeying the teachings of his Son or preaching the good news of Jehovahs Kingdom.
What Jehovah and Jesus want accomplished will be done and it is through our global Bible education work that ensures it is being carried out. We are blessed and priviledged to be called Jehovahs Witnesses.

many of the ex-jw's is due to their lack of being loyal to Jehovah and becoming involved in wrongdoing often including immorality. The choose to turn against Jehovah, and are unrepentant, so it is necessary for them to be removed from the congregation in order not to contaminate others with their wrong thinking and conduct. If the choose to change their ways and repent later on, they can be welcomed back into the congregation. 1 Corinthians 5: 9 In my letter I wrote you to stop keeping company with sexually immoral people, 10 not meaning entirely with the sexually immoral people of this world or the greedy people or extortioners or idolaters. Otherwise, you would actually have to get out of the world. 11 But now I am writing you to stop keeping company with anyone called a brother who is sexually immoral or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man. 12 For what do I have to do with judging those outside? Do you not judge those inside, 13 while God judges those outside? “Remove the wicked person from among yourselves.”
