I only really post on here about Jehovah's Witnesses. I don't dislike any of the individual people, but I loathe their organization. If you are a Jehovah's Witness reading this, please know I have no ill will towards you specifically; I wish you the best as a matter of fact. It isn't personal, but if you are on here to defend or act as an apologist for your religion I will be there waiting to point out the truth. My goal is to support respectful and rational criticism of the Jehovah's Witnesses organization on YA!. I would like to one day see an informed public where EVERY time a Jehovah's Witnesses knocks on a door attempting to convert someone, that the person is ready to bring the knocking Jehovah's Witness to task regarding their beliefs, their history, and their sexual abuse scandals. Critical questions are vital on this topic and would support positive social change.

For a group that loves the Bible so much and loves to do personal study, why am I unable to find any Biblical scholars or Hebrew / Greek linguists among the Jehovah's Witnesses? I thought they were supposedly better informed than all other religions, so why aren't they leading the way translating dead sea scrolls or whatever else religious scholars do?
The New World Translation committee had no one fluent in Greek or Hebrew, yet they translated the King James Bible into the NWT Bible... Did Jehovah speak directly to these luminaries, informing the translation team that he wanted his name inserted over 300 times where it never existed previously?
Also, Jehovah's Witnesses love numerology always playing with dates as far as when Armageddon will come. How many times have the JW's given false prophecy and wrong Armaddeon dates? Maybe a half-dozen times at least?

Especially many JW's that died because of these beliefs. Now getting a blood transfusion doesn't result in instant disfellowshipping, this will be traumatic for some of them.
