Unimpressed with next gen consoles?

I remain unimpressed with the next generation of consoles. I remember being much more excited about the xbox 360 and its games much more than I am about the xbox one or ps4. So I am just gonna skip both and play in my pc instead. Anyone else gonna do the same ?

A lot of people are unimpressed with the current consoles now (it's no longer "next gen" it's almost been 2 years), the lack of big and impressive games are the main reasons to that

Even now I have absolutely no desire to buy either of them, even though I love the Souls games and want Bloodborne, I find no justifiable reason to get a PS4 for only 1 game

The reason you are not as excited because the advancement in hardware between the sixth generation consoles and the seventh generation consoles (minus the Wii) was far more substantial than the advancements of eighth generation in relation to the seventh generation.

The PS4 and Xbox One to a large degree feel like rushed out the door consoles in reaction to Nintendo rushing the Wii U out of the door.

The PS4 (less so) and the Xbox One struggle to maintain 1080p and 60 fps in games which a medium-to-high PC can manage without much effort.

Fortunately when I play on consoles I don't really care about hardware resolutions and though frame rate is important to me and I prefer 60 over 30, I can manage with 30 fps.

If you are disinterested in this console generation then going to the PC route is the best way to go. PC gaming is expensive (initially) but it's a lot better than console gaming imo.

Yea you say this now, when the xbox 360 was released there was little to none games for it and you know why because i had an xbox 360 the day after it launched. Same goes for PS3 when it released there was nothing for it but in a few years a bunch of games came out and it gave the Xbox 360 a run for its money. Right now there are no games for Xbox 1 and PS4 but I'm sure that will change in the next year or so.

I have an xbox one, and I play some games and they are good. But I stoped playing games online. which is what a lot of the games are now days.

I ended up building a new computer and did 3d gaming. So I'm going back through all my old games and playing them now in 3d. I do like it (not all games are that good in 3d) but having a hard time to even keep playing those games.

(could be because its spring and its time to get outside and do stuff).

Play where your time won't be wasted. I'd be on the same boat as you if we were only 6 months into this generation, I really only used the PS4 for Netflix then. But now? I'm pretty much playing it everyday, and the mixture of indie and AAA games is great.
