If I have no info stored om this machine, though it has M/S Windows XP, what would be the downfall of using this for surfing the net only?

There is no downfall still using windows xp just might need to have a good firewall and anti virus some that are good and free is avast and avg while online every now and then change your passwords when logging on to legit sites , i'm still using windows xp 3 still can upgrade to that it just support has ended for windows xp meaning the main source no more updates or tech support
