My elderly mother was in ER the other day and said that my Dad who passed away 10 years ago visited her?

It is sort of sweet that her thoughts are peaceful no matter what happens in the future for her.

I usually like to pride myself on being a reasonable person most times but I also do believe there are forces out there that are beyond our human understanding.

I do believe in a spirit world but am 100% non religious in a traditional sense.

I have had visits from deceased relations and those visits are always welcome and peaceful.

I had a vision from my mother at her graveside, everyone in the family I told just rolled their eyes and thought I was just stressed out. I am 110% sure it was the spirit world letting me know my mother was ok and to move on without worry.

I have peace about passing, more upset to be stuck here on earth alone then crossing over myself.

Just another adventure for all of us on the other side. I once had dreams about Nicole Simson where she was telling me OJ had murdered her, she was with my sister who had passed on. Weird stuff.

My sister was totally non religious. she had a NDE one year before she passed away. She never saw anyone but had a very positive experience where she felt at peace and all was good.

No fears.

I have heard about people visiting/appearing before, usually when times are bad for them and the arrival of the dead person seems to comfort them. Your mum was probably feeling very lost and thinking about her husband helped her, so let her believe that he did visit her for the time being. Give her time to recover and see what happens, and speak to her Doctor if things get worse.

There is a tale that when someone is dying a loved one who has already died comes to get them to guide them to the next world, but how can we prove this is true, we cannot. Your mum is still with you so it could be she just needed comfort from your dad.

That happened to me once when I was hospitalized and on a morphine drip.I actually saw my dad standing at the edge of my hospital bed,I told my mom about it the next day and my family kinda freaked out because my dad had been dead almost ten years at that time.I know I was stressed out from the severe pain I was having before my surgery,and the morphine also contributed to the hallucinations.

My FIL said he had a visit from God but he could not tell us what he said. (seriously) And he is not a religious person

My Aunt had a visit from her son who died several years ago from an car accident when ran into a deer and from her mom who told her "everything will be fine, you can come home now";

So I believe it and it can happen, there is nothing to e scare of.

I have heard of this all the time, I have heard from my Dad as well, he passed away over 30 years ago.

I think It's wonderful that your mum had a visit from her late husband on more than one occasion. What does it mean? Who knows? There is some kind of spiritual connection between them, and her husband appeared to be attempting to bring her some comfort. Sounds great to me.

Your mum probably just misses him. While she's been ill she wont have much to do and clearly misses your father very much. Just give it some time and see if it happens again and if it does maybe he is trying to tell her something or there could be another reason why it started happening at this time after 10 years. Yes, I had that experience. I didnt see an image but I felt a touch, a presence after someone close had died. I was not ill myself, just connected to the person's spirit or whatever that is.

My mother came to me after she died and so I'm open to these types of things. If she thinks she saw him and you don't believe it, why disturb her if it makes her peaceful. Yes, she may be getting ready to die or the drugs just let her dream...it doesn't really matter. just keep her happy. We keep our memories as we age and we tend to forget the bad times so much. Your mother has him in her heart and that must be what she wants.

Yes, I've heard them speak with their dear departed ones with my own ears too many times to disbelieve it.

But they were all sick and dying.

If an otherwise healthy person sees their dead, it isn't a sign of their imminent death.
