Depends what your more interested in - Campaign or Multiplayer. If it's the latter (Multiplayer) then you'll have to buy a relatively recent as the older ones lose their player bases & often become hacked. If it's Campaign then MW1 got a good rep, my favourite campaign was MW2. Just avoid MW3, ghosts, Advanced warfare they all have awful spawns and poor campaigns made by a broken infinity ward or inexperienced Raven software & Sledgehammer.

Black Ops 1- diverse amount of zombie maps, not as many features as Black Ops 2
I would recommend Black Ops 2. Reasons- Decent maps and multiplayer, zombies tranzit, playable campaign.
Ghosts- no, many people do not like it and will not play it.
Advance Warfare- If your into futuristic guns/lasers and future vehicles in campaign.
