Why do Christians not trust in God? I mean, if they truly trusted in God, they wouldn't put lightningrods on the roofs of their churches.?

    Belief in God doesn't absolve a person from making intelligent choices. I trust in God to take care of me but if I don't feed myself I will die.

    That's rather silly, don't you think? :)

    If we trust in God, why put on seatbelts? If we trust in God why take your medicines? Worshippers of God are asked to do so with their "power of reason". There is no reason in doing as you suggest.

    Maybe it's just pascals wager. If you think Zeus might be pissed at your church, and build a lightning rod, you have everything to gain. If you don't believe Zeus might be pissed at your church, you gain nothing and have everything to lose!

    They do.

    A steeple is one of the most struck by lightning of all man-made structures.

    That ought to tell them something, but they miss the point.
