If religion is a delusion ...What is the cure?

Governor Pontius in the bible believed that Jesus was delusional which is neither a crime nor a threat. There are religious people who practice their religion superstitiously and there are those who practice their religion theologically. Theology is not an established set of beliefs. It is a field of study. A study is an ongoing process that is always open for debates. Many religious faithfuls hold on to the notion that faith is a call to work hard, not a call to be an idle wishful thinker, and that they are called upon to be good stewards and not neglect the needy. Are hospitals that are established by religious organizations primitive? No. Many of them are named after saints and are scientifically modern. Religious people vary greatly from the helpful to the hateful. It is uneducational to make simplistic generalizations.

The problem is that the so called facts being taught have not been proven! 1 Ti. 6:20 is a warning against any man-made philosophy or supposed science which is contrary to the Word of God. Dr. Henry Morris, head of the Creation Research Institute, served for 28 years on the faculties of major universities, including 13 years as chairman of the Civil Engineering Department at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Dr. Morris believes there are absolutely no contradictions between the Bible's record and science. He testifies, "[T]he revealed Word of God [is] supported completely by all true science" (Morris, The Twilight of Evolution). True science is that science which is fully tested and proven, as opposed to that "science" based upon mere unprovable theory. Examples of "science falsely so called" in our day are theistic evolution, the JEDP theory, and form criticism.

Religion doesn't seem like a delusion to the people within it, and herein lies a very complex issue to approaching religious people

We cannot even govern ourselves in Peace or provide for the needs of the masses.

So what is it that makes you think mankind so omniscient?

Shucks, no one in the Catholic religion is discouraging higher education. They even sponsor and encourage it. It encourages everyone to start out with something we all can know for absolute certainty; namely, "I think, therefore I exist". That philosophy precedes the existence of all religion and even the existence of God.

Religious parents want to control the education of their children so they can brainwash and indoctrinate them and turn them into programmed robots.
