Is this copyright?

I want to make a film,but the idea seems similar to other movies. Is is okay to use similar ideas from other movies?

    Lots of artistic works seem to have taken inspiration from earlier works. Determining whether your "similarities" rise to a level that would be copyright infringement is going to take more careful study, and a lot more specific information.

    Any simplistic answer you find here won't help you.
