Connecting an HDMI-supported laptop to a non-HD, composite RCA cabled TV, How to?

Here's the picture. My TV is old-school buy my laptop is fairly new. My TV will not be replaced anytime soon, but I'd like to display my laptop screen onto it. Just need help, because I feel there are a lot of phony cables on eBay and Amazon

Get a HDMI to RCA converter from Amazon.

3Ogdy wants to give information on something he knows something about.

That link will not work You will be wasting your time and money.

For an example look at the link below.

You could consider Composite or component because I would imagine your TV would have both.

Composite would be a little easier and really just as good. both will cater for sound.

HDMI outputs both video and sound. Therefore, whether you want both coming out of your laptop and getting to you TV or not, you should consider that cable. Can choose whether you want the sound to get through or not.
