What's the best way to clean wood laminate floors?
In most of the older houses where I lived before I got married, I had REAL wood floors that I mopped with Murphy's oil soap. My husband and I installed wood laminate floors in the 1996 modular we bought when we married. I've tried several cleaning products that I apply with a sponge-head mop, but they always come out streaky, or with a dull film. Getting on my hands and knees and scrubbing is NOT an option (arthritic knees), so what techniques and/or products might solve the problem?

I have a Hoover floor cleaner, it has brushes and 3 settings. Dry vacuum, scrubbing and Wet vacuum. It works fairly well, not the greatest but it cleans the floor which is the point. I use Dawn dishwashing liquid in the tank. I don't want shiny as it shows too much dirt, just clean. Much better than a mop because you can suck up all the dirty water. Here is a newer model. Mine is 10 years old. Don't put down too much water because if it gets into the seams it will swell the flooring. I put down enough to see it is wet. I use it on my kitchen floor mats too.

It seems cliche already, but baking soda can be a good alternative to clean wooden floors. Wooden floors need to be cleaned properly as well. Shower your mop with 1/2 baking soda, glide through the floor, and then rinse your floors afterwards.
