Why do people who were ones in High school and are now on Facebook act so differently?

I went to school with a lot of people who are on my Facebook now back then they were jerks assholes bitches now they act all saint on Facebook why?

    Maybe because now they're mature enough to see that they're not the center of the universe OR maybe because you're believing that their Facebook life and their real life are the same. Not everyone is the same as they are in real life as they are on Facebook.

    Look at me as an example… On Facebook, I am a completely straight jerk, but in real life I am the nicest person you'll ever meet.

    Possible explanations:

    1. They have changed

    2. Real life and facebook are different things. They might be percieved as something on the internet, but in real life more boring

    Maybe they matured a bit. Or want to keep a good face outwards. Maybe they're not always like you thought of them.
