Looking for an anime with (100+ episodes) to watch on the side of more serious anime. (Read description)?

I am looking for a long anime (100+ episodes). Im looking for a not so serious animes like hunter x hunter (2011) or fairy tail to watch on the side of more serious animes, so i can take a break from the seriousness once in a while. I havent watched hunter x hunter (2011) or fairy tail yet and im looking to get your opinion on them. I know fairy tale gets a lot of sh**, can you explain why? I also know hunter x hunter is on hiatus right now and i was wondering if the anime has some what of a conclusion, because i dont want to watch 100+ episodes and nothing get resolved. I am also open to other suggestions, they can be shorter than 100 episodes just no less than 50. Also if you can give me a description of the animes you suggest would be helpful, doesnt have to be long maybe a sentence or two. These animes are the only ones I dont want to watch, bleach, naurto, and DBZ. Thank You in advance!!!

Also i have already watched D.Gray-man, and I dont mind if it is subbed either!

Update:

Also I have seen FMA.

Fairy Tail, despite having the best animation out of the big three shounen series (Naruto, Bleach, One Piece), is kind of a coin flip when it comes to story. It has a lot of arcs, but major arcs aren't really built up too well, so it kind of feels like there's no coherent story at first (even though there is). It has pretty generic characters typical of a shounen anime. Fairy Tail also has the most fan service, which gets a lot of hate from fans who don't like that sort of stuff.

The Hunter x Hunter manga has been on hiatus for a while now, just because Togashi (the mangaka of HxH) is known as the "hiatus king". Yes, the anime has a conclusion, but it's an open-ended conclusion. What I mean is that stuff from the previous arcs is all wrapped up and concluded, but some questions/comments still open up the series for a continuation/sequel. The anime itself is over, however.

I would say not to wait, because it'll probably be years before there's enough content to produce another season of the anime.

Also, I would not really say Hunter x Hunter is "not so serious". There are definitely some very serious moments in HxH, and the themes are much darker than your regular big battle shounen series like Naruto or Bleach.

Just FYI, there aren't a whole bunch of anime series that have 50+ episodes. Most series somewhere are either 12-13 episodes or 24-26 episodes, with the exception of those that get sequels. It's even rarer for a show to get into the hundreds of episodes, and that's usually reserved for high-popularity shounen series.

That said, some popular series might include:

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (64 episodes) - Edward Elric and his younger brother Al are young alchemists looking for the Philosopher's Stone. In attempt to revive their dead mother, Ed lost his limbs and Al lost his body, and they're searching for a way to return themselves to normal.

YuYu Hakusho (112 episodes) - This is an older series by the same author of Hunter x Hunter. A young delinquent named Yuusuke is killed in an accident, only to find himself living as a spirit.

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic (25 eps) and Magi: The Kingdom of Magic (25 eps) - Focuses on a boy, Aladdin, who explores dungeons for treasure.

Katekyo Hitman Reborn! (203 eps) - Sawada Tsunayoshi gets involved in supernatural mafia hijinks.

I'm watching Hunter x Hunter. I highly recommend that. If you want something over 100 episodes, I'm not exactly sure.

Except, I'm a big Fullmetal Alchemist fan. The original FMA anime made in 2003 eventually caught up with the manga and lots of the show (including the ending) is fillers. In 2009, there was a new show called Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. It was both a reboot of the original FMA anime and a way to get the manga made into a more accurate anime. Both 2003 anime and 2009 anime are great. If you add both series together, it's over 100 episodes. I reccomend both. Hope I helped!

    UPDATE:

Fairy Tail gets sh** for a few reasons. Fan service is the main one. Girls have large breasts on this show and most male characters go shirtless half the time. Also, the fights are kinda boring. I didnt mind when i saw the first 20 episodes but apparently a lot of people think Fairy Tail fights are the most boring. I hope I helped (again)

Hunter x Hunter (2011) is not on hiatus, it's over. The manga goes on hiatus A LOT and currently is on hiatus so the anime can't adapt any more material to it finished just like the original Hunter x Hunter anime. So obviously, nothing gets resolved. It's still a very good show though. It is more adult than Fairy Tail.

Fairy Tail is your generic action shounen. It's absolutely unremarkable and takes a lot of from the creator's previous work Rave Master. Every arc is predictable, every character is a stereotype, and villains are weak easily siding with the good guys. That's why it gets a lot of **** but that's how the show is supposed to be. It's the perfect type of generic show that young boys love to watch when they get home from school. It's not meant to be mind blowing, it's not meant to be revolutionary, it's meant to just be a simple show for young boys.

There aren't that many completely subbed anime that are over 100 eps. There's also InuYasha and Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh which I'm sure you've heard of.

Ranma ½ and Urusei Yatsura was made by the person that did InuYasha. The former is a romance with matrial artists who transform into other things when they get splashed with water. The latter is about aliens who come to earth and one of them falls in love with a pervert and he is not digging it. Both are great comedies, no conclusive ending well since the manga didn't have conclusive endings. Katekyo Hitman Reborn! about mafia people with super powers, it doesn't have a conclusion either since the anime didn't adapt all of the manga. Konjiki no Gash Bell!! with people fighting with magic talking puppets, I liked this show, it didn't have a conclusion either. If you don't mind sports then Prince of Tennis might be your thing, intense shounen tennis where they go cool moves, power ups, and there's a hierarchy of people so tournaments serious business.

Detective Conan is great if you want murder mystery, I love this show just on the fact that they can do a murder so differently each time. It's ongoing (all these in this paragraph are). One Piece as well if you want another shounen show--it's manga sold the most volumes out of any manga in the world of all time. The creator is a billionaire and there's even a theme park in Japan. If you don't mind pretty idols then Aikatsu! might be your thing. They have new outfits every episode and lots of singing.

i love fairy tail. it's a good anime to just watch without having to think too hard lol. I love all the characters. Naruto is good except there's lots of fillers and if you don't pay attention you can be confused.
