adult tonsillectomy? do i need one?
im 19 and have gotten strep one time and 2-3 sore throats since january (now june). I also have really big tonsils that swell at the slightest provocation. Ive always had large tonsils but this year it has become a problem. it took me a week to recover from the strep with steroids and antibiotics. im just done with this. will they recommend a tonsillectomy or try something else? although im not sure what else they would/could do

Yes you do. I had mine out when I was 30, which is just awful. Have them out while you are young, it's easier to recover. If you don't, you leave yourself open to all kinds of other illnesses.
