  • First time going on a cruise... questions!?

Okay so going on a cruise to the Bahamas in Jan 2018. Major questions: do you need to change our currency? Must haves to put in your bag (like your on board bag that you keep with you)? Can you bring snacks on board? I saw the drink policy but nothing about food. Cruise must haves in general?

I know some of these may sound stupid but we ve never been on a cruise before so bear with me

  • pus coming out of healed nose ring?

Got it pierced almost a year ago (last January). Had no issues whatsoever. In August I had a tonsillectomy so I had to take my nose ring out. Put it back in after the surgery. Still fine. Now I have to take it out all the time for work. It's still a bit sore from taking it out and putting it back in all the time. Now I'm having some white pus from my nose ring??? I originally had an 18k gold nose ring but recently bought some stainless steel ones because the gold one is really hard to put in. I'm usually allergic to metals (like with earrings and my belly button piercing) but this seems to be working fine, aside from the pus. I don't think it's infected because the area isn't swollen or red. Just the pus. Thoughts??

  • Why the anxiety spike?

I've had a pretty severe anxiety problem. At its worst it prevented me from going out of the house. Lately I've had this huge irrational fear of my cat passing away or having to be put to sleep. I did have to put one of my bunnies to sleep about 3 months ago so I know that is part of the trigger. My kitty is only 5, she will turn 6 in May. I know this fear is irrational. She is healthy and active and has been her whole life (other than an upper reapiratory infection when we first adopted her). She has zero medical issues and is a healthy weight. I don't know. My bunny passing was very traumatic for me. I gave her meds 2x a day for the 6 weeks before we had to put her down. At first I had this extreme guilt that I could have saved her. She was old, she was almost 9. For a bunny thats the upper end of their life span. Anything over 10 years is practically unheard of. I still have some of the guilt. Now I'm just having this huge irrational fear of her passing soon or passing period. Weather it be in 1 year or 10 years. It was just so traumatic for me. I am a huge animal lover so this type of thing really gets to me. Should I go back to my therapist? Or give it more time?

  • Could my cat get fleas from our Christmas tree?

We have a fake one and keep it in the garage. Could that have caused her to get fleas? I think I saw one on her

  • My cat doesn't seem to like me anymore?

She used to sleep on my legs or on her post next to my bed but she never does anymore. If I was in my room watching tv she would climb up on my bed with me. Not anymore. She will sit on the floor in my room but not "with" me. If my mom is in my room watching tv with me she will sit with my mom on the spare bed in my room. Now she always sleeps on the couch. Sometimes with my mom. I don't get it. When I pet her, if she's in the mood, she purrs and is happy. When I pick her up she purrs. The only thing I can think of is she is 5 and we started clipping her nails at home and my mom holds her while I clip. I really don't know and it makes me really sad.

  • contrave question?

I ve been taking it for 6 days. In the beginning (just day 1) I got kind of weird. Like unfocused. That s gone away but I just don t feel right about it. I m on an antidepressant so my dr is monitoring things carefully but I don t know. The biggest things that freak me out are like the seizures. I m going to skip it tonight and then think about it more. I just have this bad wary feeling. It s doing great suppressing appetite and cravings though. I just don t know. I was on saxenda (Just a trial, insurance wouldn t cover it) and it did great suppressing appetite and didn t have as many side effects. I guess I just wish I could keep taking that but it s $1000 a month :(

  • Southern food? What are these things called?

The half cylinder shaped hush puppie type things that almost look like a churro. What are they? They are like crunchy and almost taste like hush puppies but not as strong of a flavor!

  • miller motte for vet tech?

it just seems like they are in it for the money since you can get literally NO info from their website other than the fact that they have the program. the only other schools near me that offer it are over an hour to 4+ hours away and I cant afford to move out to go to school. the only school that seems possible is central carolina community college but its over an hour from my house :(

  • Adult tonsillectomy recovery?

Hey so I'm having a tonsillectomy in about 3 weeks and I just wanted to hear people's experiences.

I'm 19. Amount of pain? Type of pain? Your worst days? Food? Drinks? Dairy? How long off work? How long in pain meds? Type of pain meds? Cold things or warm more soothing? Other tips?

    TIA

Also, I know it will be extremely painful so stressing that it's "the worst pain ever" isn't really what I'm looking for

  • Female rabbit has blood in urine?

Hi! So I have 2 rabbits and one of them had blood in her urine. She is quite old... About 7 years. Anyways we took her out to clean her cage and when we put her back in we noticed her urine had blood in it. We kept her in the bathroom while cleaning because we also have a cat. She will pee when she is scared. It was very yellow/cloudy urine with streaks of red in it. No chance she was injured because she has been in a separate cage for 2+ weeks. We bring them inside when it gets too hot out for them and have to put them in separate cages. What could be causing this? Don't really know what to do because she is so old but we don't want her suffering! Help please!

  • Tearing knee pain?

So I work at a daycare with infants and toddlers which requires a lot of sitting and getting up off the floor. I was holding an infant sitting and went to stand up and when I straightened my knee I felt this intense tearing/burning pain. After a minute it went away and I was busy so I didn't really notice it until the next morning when it was stiff and sore/achy. The pain was sort of at the top of my knee and all over the front. It didn't hurt on the sides at all. I do have bad knees from years jumping in figure skating. What happened? Did I pull a muscle? Or like tear something? Now it's a bit swollen and still sore. Not sure what I did!

  • Bump on nose piercing?

So I got my nose pierced almost 7 weeks ago. I keep getting this bump on my nose under the piercing. I pop it and the pis comes out and it bleeds a bit but then it goes away about a week later. Then it comes back! This has happened maybe 3 times now. After I pop it I always clean it with saline and in the shower I let the water run over it for a few minutes. I try not to mess with it as much as possible. I pop it because when I don't it hurts. What is this and why does it keep coming back? Tips? Thoughts?
