Am I legally blind?

I live in Illinois and my vision is 20/200 am I legally blind? I don't want to be.

    Legally blind is, according to the Social Security Administration, is a 20/200 or worse in your best eye. So yes, you are. Sorry.

    It depends upon whether that 20/200 is with corrective lenses or not. If with corrective lenses in both eyes then you would be legally blind. If corrective lenses improves your vision to better than 20/200 then you are not.

    If you see 20/200 with your best correction, then you are legally blind.

    With your best correction means with your glasses on.

    That, BTW, means that you can just see the large E on the top of a standard eye chart.
