I was wondering how long it usually takes to release the sub version of an anime?

I want to watch Chaos Dragon : Sekiryuu Senyaku, which premiered in Japan 7/2 and it only has the raw version is up right now.

It usually only takes a few hours/half a day, especially nowadays with professional subs, but because it's the first week of the new season it can take a few days extra. As far as I know hasn't Chaos Dragon been picked up by a legal site (Funimation/Crunchyroll), so you've to wait until a fansub group picks it up. In the first week of the season fansubbers are still looking which shows other fansub groups are picking up (no real point in subbing a show in your own free time when it's already being subbed by 4 different groups) and which shows they want to sub themselves. So for shows that don't have an enormous amount of hype it can take a bit longer than usual to get subbed. I expect the show to have a decent sub tomorrow/Sunday

Official subs usually release quickly after the RAW episode releases (hours, few days maybe), but with simulcasting I believe the subs release at the same time as the original broadcast. With fan subs, you're looking at a few days to sometimes weeks depending on how good the sub group is.
