How much school does a Nurse Practitioner need?

    An NP will have a BSN, then practice for a few years as a nurse before being able to get into an NP program. Depending on the specialty and program, it is usually 2-3 years of training to get an MS or DNP.

    A masters or a clinical nursing doctorate (DNP) AFTER the bachelors in nursing, so 3 ish years after the BSN
