Woah, what? You mean we SHOULDN'T remove the ten commandments from PUBLIC buildings?

No, we should remove the ten commandments from public buildings! What part of separation of church and state do people not understand?

Unfortunately we are still not enlightened enough to see that, though. We don't burn witches at the stake anymore, but we still have to deal with people who cannot see the difference between reality and 2000 year old myths. Evolution takes time, we are not there yet. Ignorance still has a grip on us.

I'm not sure about the ten commandments. They transcend religious belief. Some form of the ten commandments exist in every religion. I would think that even atheists accept the ten commandments as truth. I guess Satanists would find the ten commandments objectionable. Should we cater to the feelings of anyone who believes that we should kill, steal, or bear false witness. OK, maybe we could remove the ones about coveting thy neighbors wife or using God's name in vain,

We all have differing opinions on these issues. Even the SUPREME COURT was NOT unanimous. So we know that some of the justices chosen, after reading and considering all evidence and lower court findings, believed it was NOT unConstitutional to display such things.

We accept the system of justice that settles on the OPINION of the the majority of justices.

But, the fact is, some justices fully interpreted the law as PERMITTING such symbols.

Hence, it is a fact that this is an OPINION -- of the majority, yes, but STILL an opinion -- that the law prohibits such things.

Of course we should remove the Ten Commandments.

We most certainly SHOULD remove them. But that goes for ALL religious texts from public buildings, not just Judeo-Christian texts. Why? Because a PUBLIC place for EVERYONE, and no one religion should be allowed presidence over others in the US as it conflicts directly with the Constitution.

Christians are under attack. The persecution is very real. Our people's laws and rights came from God and our contract with Him. Our nation has been hijacked by those who do not respect Him.

Mark my words and mark them well. God is going to correct these "leaders" who have put His word and artifacts to the bin of history. It shall happen. Just watch. God is the leader of America, not man.

Which means the majority can't force the minority to remove something becauR they don't like it.

Why should my tax money go for something like the 10 commandments

First amendment says the government cannot endorse any religion.
