It took five days and a very messy confrontation with the White House Press Secretary Josh Ernest before Obama consented to lower the flag.

About as bad as the Republican leadership in congress was. They didn't get around to it, flying the flag at half staff over the capitol, until July 21.

These contrived issues that the right feigns outrage over really are incredibly boring.

So you've chosen to use the deaths of these men for your partisan fight.

The only one who should be ashamed here is you.

Now explain why these men are more deserving of such honors, than the men who have died daily in Iraq and Afghanistan since 9-11.

    They too were in uniform.

They too died in America's service, yet you never demanded their passing be marked.

In fact, many people did all they could to ensure that such men's deaths were not noticed.

So I guess honoring servicemen is only a tradition for you when it suits your agenda.

I'm sure the President is the one on lowering the flag duty, it's doubtful he has anything more important to do.

Makes you wonder why GW never flew the flag at half mast.
