I never ran from God. The idea of being fearful enough of God to run away from him never made any sense to me. If he's good, I have no fear of him. If I've done wrong, he'll educate me on how to be good. He won't torture or hurt me for being bad. He might jail me or thwart my actions, but violence? Seriously? There's no reason to fear the punk with a gun. He doesn't want to kill you. He just wants your money.

Same thing with God. God doesn't want to kill you. He just wants your worship.

Both the punk and God are desperate creatures full of fear themselves. Fear is everything they have. When all your tools are hammers, all your problems start looking like nails.

I had Zero interest. God is patient. I was fascinated by esoteric, strange things.

I started running toward Jesus when led to meetings that tied in my favorite topic, science with the bible. Amazing...the bridge I needed.
