Breaking up and loneliness: how to cope?
I came to the UK 15 years ago for work. I have wonderful kid, job, a beautiful home, close friends. After the break with my son's dad I have been unable to form another family.I have had many relationships.none has worked. I have worked on myself to try to smoothe myself out to make space for someone special:keep bumping into jerks. It's just not about a man in your life, but feeling connected and rooted. The world seems such a lonely place: anyone in same position? How do you cope? advice?

The last time I was with someone we had a horrible break up. I was devastated and I'm an adult, not a teen. I baked cookies for homeless shelters. Seriously. A LOT of cookies. It wasn't the answer to everything but when you help someone else out, it takes the focus off your own pain. When I walked into the shelter with those cookies the men nearly cried that someone baked for them.
Other than that, I got involved with church and called friends. I kept a journal and wrote down my feelings in it daily. I still have that journal too.

this is what i did. i would listen to screamo bands like follow my lead and despised virtue. i would also wear black and tight clothes. i would also draw pictures of the girl who crushed me stabbing me in the heart with a samurai sword. i would cry and talk about it with everyone and grow my hair out. i would watch anime and watch violent movies and horror movies. i would also take streight razors and scratch my arms with them. i also saw a theropist. and i watched porn and masterbated and wrote poems and playd violent violent video games. i hope this helps.
