Creationists, if all the animals were vegetarian before the fall then what did sharks before the fall?

Sharks with their razor sharp teeth that are obviously well suited to eating meat and ill suited for eating plants.

I believe you'll find that many to most Creationists will say that at the point of the fall/curse, God changed a lot of species. Thorns were mentioned as an example, not as an exhaustive list. They will put things like snake venom, mosquitoes, and etc. in that category. There are sometimes complaints that micro-bacteria would have died pre-fall, but not all that scientists call living would be considered living in God's dictionary. Plants are living, but we were encouraged to eat them. Only some kinds of animals were that important at that point. God's doodles are better than our finest art.

"Vegetarianism" was not implied as the original meaning in Genesis - afterall, even vegetables are living things, so, life always consumed other life to survive, food chain existed before the fall of humanity. The main point was about Garden of Eden, where the first humans with an indwelt "soul", thus delineated from "soul-less animals", enjoyed protection from natural disasters, pestilences, illness, etc... Garden of Eden was a sanctuary in a universe with violent processes - stars exploded, galaxies collided, black holes swallowed up entire star systems, you name it, all the way here on Earth volcanoes erupted, earthquakes shook regions, tsunamis swept away things along coast lines, etc...

I sometimes point out that proper understanding of Bible often takes a lifetime of study - but study not in a "vacuum" where the reader speculates on meanings conveyed, rather, learning the traditions, customs, idioms, and all relevant matter pertaining to ancient cultures and civilizations. Some Bible scholars never stop learning something new, for there is that much to understand - even a tiny little detail like that pertaining to Lot's wife turning into a pillar of salt, without the proper context of how ancient nomads transported salt and the metaphor it was used as... and that entire background of the nomadic culture only affects a single phrase in the entire Bible... And now you ask about sharks :)

Once again, Genesis and end time books have parallels. In the beginning things were apparently defined by God as being 'good'.

Revelation, Isaiah, and similar scriptures reveal that animals will once again be vegetarians.

"The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox." Is 11:7

"The nursing child will play by the hole of the cobra, And the weaned child will put his hand on the viper's den." Is 11:8

"The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, and dust will be the serpent's food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain," says the LORD." Is 65:25

Wow! You did it! You completely disproved Christianity! Now that it is settled may I ask you how, even if everything in Christianity were proven false, would that fact prove or disprove the existence of God? If it does not provide evidence of God's nonexistence then your attack on Christianity and the Bible are nothing more than illogical straw-man attacks. Do you have any evidence to support your position that God does not exist that does not rely on the illogical attack on Christianity or the Bible? I would love to hear anything logical, but unfortunately in all these years I have yet to see ONE logical support of the atheistic position.

    Please prove me wrong.
