What do I wear to a Persian wedding?
I know it should be pretty extravagant. The only gown I have is a Moroccan kaftan. Would that be appropriate? Otherwise I just have church dresses. Should I get a new one? Thanks ahead of time!

the kaftan would be perfect if it is an elegant one made out of nice fabric and not just something you would wear around the house. moroccan kaftans can be very stunning and beautiful so if it is pretty with really nice fabric, then wear it.

DO NOT wear that kaftan It will look like some lame and possibly insulting attempt to "look Persian" Just wear something you would wear to any other wedding or even to church If you do not want the church look go buy a new dress but please just wear the sort of clothing you usually wear no costumes no outfits no cultural mis appropriations
