Acne help?

Ever since my period started, ONLY on my left cheek, there's a circle of very red acne!! Most of the are flat while the others are full on pimples. Now that my periods coming to an end (I hope) my pimples should be going away. But they're not! I've tried everything. Benzoyl peroxide, washing my face, exfoliating, warm compression, ice cubes, and toothpaste. It's still really red and bad. I'm going to vacation on Sunday and I don't want to show up like this. Please is there anything I could do NATURALLY? I might try honey next, will that help???

I recommend limiting your sugar intake as sugar suppresses your white blood cells' ability to fight bacteria: http://ajcn.nutrition.org/content/26/11/1180.abstr...

You should also try to avoid touching and unnecessarily washing your face. The oils that your pores secrete serve to prevent bacteria getting into them. Washing away these oils exposes your pores to the air and to bacteria, especially if soap is used. Using cleaning products on your face just increases the likelihood of spots emerging. The most you should do is let water flow over your face in the shower. No rubbing/scrubbing and only dry by lightly dabbing with a clean towel.

And another tip that may help: flip your pillow over every night, horizontally one night, vertically the next. That way, you are less likely to press your face against the oils you rubbed off on it a previous night. Make sure you change your pillow case at least once a week too.
