What is the point of a follicle test?
I have no problem passing one, but I started thinking about it and realized I don't exactly agree with it. If someone is not currently doing drugs and trying to get their life together, why look deep into their past and keep them down for something they may have not done for years? Just curious as to why this method is used and why companies find it important to not hire someone who may have had a drug problem in the past.

Each hair in our scalp is locked into the scalp with a hair follicle or "hair bulb" that contains our DNA. A better representation of drugs in the body show in the hair follicle. Different drugs remain less time in the hair follicle, and some companies choose to test one's hair follicle instead of blood or urine. To learn about the different testing procedures companies employ, go to www.about.com, and type your question into the search page. A page will appear informing you how long drugs remain in your body.
