    Some properties of lines are a constant slope, and intercepts with the axes of the defined coordinate system. In 2D Cartesian coordinate system determined by x-axis and y-axis, the general form of a line is Ax +By +C = 0. The slope equation is

    m = (y2 -y1) / (x2 -x1)

    where m is the slope between two points P1 (x1, y1) and P2 (x2, y2)

    What types of slopes are there? All types. Special slopes are completely vertical (infinite slope), completely horizontal (zero slope), parallel slopes (lines never intersect and have same slope), perpendicular slopes (right angle is formed between lines and slopes are negative reciprocals of each other).

    Intercepts with the x and y axes occur when coordinate is equal to 0, which is the starting point of the coordinate dimension. x-int. (0, y), x=0; y-int. (x, 0), y = 0

    The slope-intercept form of a line in 2D is

    y = mx +b

    where m is slope and b is y-intercept.

    Now you have all needed information and must manipulate the problems to generate answers.

    For example C.

    The line perpendicular to y = -(1/3)x -5, and that passes through D(2, 5).

    The perpendicular line will intersect to form right angle. Perpendicular slopes have product negative one.

    m *(-1/3) = -1

    m/3 = 1

    m = 3

    Now you know passes through point D(2, 5). Using slope equation with D and y-int. given slope is 3. Y-int. has form (0, y) or (0, b)

    3 = (5 -b) / (2 - 0)

    6 = 5 -b

    b = -1

    Using slope-intercept equation y = mx +b

    y = 3x -1

    Now put into general form Ax +By +C = 0

    3x -y -1 = 0

    G looks the hardest but it's the easiest, E totally threw me, but I nailed it without drawing the 4 lines. These ones can be done quite easily by just arranging the algebra.
