Experiment with different cleansers and moisturizers, use oil blotting papers or a blotting stick during the day, and wash your face with wipes that don't have oil in them. You can use mattifying foundation (Rimmel Stay Matte is my absolute favorite for my oily skin - I've worn it for 18 hours straight and only gotten a little oily toward the end of the night) as a temporary fix for oily looking skin.

An issue I discovered was that my breakouts conflicted with my menstrual cycle. If you have one, talk to your doctor about birth control. I take 3 mg a day and I only really break out about once a month when I ovulate.

If you have a Lush store near you, try either the Dark Angels or Herbalism cleanser. I use those as well as makeup to look matte all day :)

At the very least, wash your face when you wake up and right before you go to bed. Find a good facial cleanser, one that's designed for getting rid of acne and helping with oily skin. Also, try sleeping with a fresh towel over your pillow every night. This can help if you're having acne problems. As for the lotion, don't use a lot of it, and make sure you're using very lightweight facial lotion. Don't put it all over your face, either (I never put lotion on my forehead and around my nose, for example). Overall, you can't "get rid" of oily skin, that's just how your skin is. However, you can figure out ways to work with it and make it look as healthy as possible! Good luck!
