Boyfriend Casually Mentioned Marriage?

I might be over thinking this, but maybe not. On our first date a 3 months ago, my boyfriend mentioned his future plans of wanting to be in the naval band and that if that happened, he s hoping that I m ok with moving. I was thrown back, since I ve never experienced a guy saying something like that. Well, today, we were riding in the car and he mentioned that he really wants the grandfather clock his grandmother owns, but only the first one out of him and his siblings will get it from the first married. I questioned a bit about the clock, then he said, "I might be the first one married." I tried not to stay on this topic, but then he said, "It s quite possible that you ll be the owner of that clock too." I m not really sure what s going on in his mind... I really love him and do see a potential future with him; however, isn t it a bit fast to be bringing up such topics? Or am I just overthinking this?

Wow! That is quick. 3 months huh. Well, it does happen. I knew someone who knew each other only a month and got married. They didn't know each other before either. Are you over 30? Because they are, and they said that time is of the essence. Maybe he is trying to gauge your reaction and is scared to come right out and say what he is feeling because of the time you have known each other as well. The best way might be to ask him directly when he says something like that again. Ask him if he is proposing.
