When Jesus arrived at Bethany near Jerusalem, his friend Lazarus had been dead for four days. Jesus went to the burial place with Martha and Mary, sisters of the deceased man. Soon, a crowd gathered. Can you imagine the joy of Martha and Mary when Jesus raised Lazarus back to life?—Read John 11:21-24, 38-44.

Martha was already aware of the good news about the dead. She knew that Jehovah will resurrect the dead to live on earth again.—Read Job 14:14, 15.

The resurrection Martha thought Jesus was talking about is the resurrection of the last days when Jesus will return to collect the Christians in the world & take them back to heaven while those left on earth go through a terrible & horrific tribulation period before Jesus comes back again with the new Jerusalem & sets up his kingdom for another 1000 yrs.

There was one at the same time of Jesus' resurrection. The Bible states the saints of old were seen walking the streets of Jerusalem during the 40 days Jesus was appearing to the apostles. These saints rose with Jesus when he left. There is the second resurrection coming soon.

    John 5:28, 29

28 Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice+ 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.

“I have hope toward God . . . that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.”—ACTS 24:15.

Martha was to busy with life , so much so she was missing out on what is important , where as Mary her sister enjoyed listening to Jesus , it does not mean that Martha was a bad person

The one prophesied by Daniel long before Jesus

Dan 12:1 ¶ And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Dan 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Dan 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

Jerry. God never changes when it comes to his purpose. Of course the truth about the resurrection is very clear from the start of them. You can never say there was no earlier proof of it. After Armageddon resurrections will begin.

26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.
