Why is my girlfriend such a jerk?
it's my girlfriend's birthday today, we were eating lunch with her mom and her friend...my birthday gift to her was a trip to Hong Kong. it was a surprise. I thought she would be grateful and happy about it, but she wasn't. She began bitching, "I work at a hospital, I can't take a leave for 3 days. I won't come with you." I was so heartbroken. She takes 3-day work leaves for her sister and family, how come she can't take a 3 day leave for a trip to Hong Kong? I already paid for the ticket and everything. I thougth she would be happy. I am really crushed. Why would she act that way? She isn't een grateful?

That was mean of her, if she does take 3 days off no her sister there's no reason why she should say no. But as she already has said no, maybe she doesn't want to travel, or she's not ready for such an intimate thing. To travel with someone is a large commitment and requires a lot of trust. Maybe she's not that into you. Or things are moving to fast for her.

We already travelled to Singapore last 2013....She was so greatful back then...She didnt even appreciate the fact that I wanted to travel with her....
