I had a whole house iron filter installed in my home last fall, but now I'm getting a copper patina on my tub--what's going on?

    Check the owner's manual for the filtration device. They have a filter in them that has to be replaced when it gets dirty or clogged with iron sediment. The dirty filter is why iron is now getting in with your water. You might also consider a water softener and use Morton's anti rust softener salt in it.

    The filter removes iron not copper. You might need a softener for that...

    Softeners do not work very well on iron so you will need both...

    check the filter, they need replaced about every three months.
