Can someone explain to me in simple words how to generate electricity from speed breakers ?

    Without knowing exactly how they work it seems simple enough.

    The principle should be the same as a bike lamp using a friction generator applied to the rim of the front wheel (that is the usual location).

    For a speed breaker, when the brakes are applied, a generator is activated by pressure against the rotating part of the wheel at or near the brakes, probably directly by the brakes. The generator recharges the batteries.
