Will then NRA pay for the defense of the MI woman who shot at shoplifters escape car? Should they? If she killed someone?

Likely no. Shooting at fleeing criminals is a very dangerous legal area.

In general, the safest policy is that you may only shoot when there is an immediate threat to your life. The moment the threat is over, so is your right to shoot in self defense.

You can buy legal insurance for concealed carry permit holders that will pay for your legal defense if you are forced to defend yourself.

It is not something free with your NRA membership.

Did the NAACP pay for the burned building in the Baltimore and Ferguson riots.

    1. No, they will certainly not.

    2. No. It has nothing to do with them.

    3. If she killed somebody fleeing, then that's against the law (even shooting somebody fleeing is against the law), and ignorance is, from what I hear, not an excuse.

she killed no- one. if she fired a gun within city limits and her life or someone elses life were not in danger than she should face charges. there is a time and a place to pull your concealed weapon, unfortunately she chose the wrong time.

Is she a member of the NRA?

    I'm betting she is not.
