If Republicans get their panties in a twist over CNBC moderators, how will they be able to handle Putin?

Given the question, the answer is obvious. They would handle Putin like they did CNBC and the poster of this question. "Panties in a wad," suggests characterizing males with a stereotype that women are emotionally inferior and reactive rather than responsive. Yet, in responding to the moderators, Senator Cruz cited specific examples of CNBC's horribly slanted questioning and dressed them down for it, something those moderators obviously were not prepared to handle. Even POTUS was reporting that CNBC had "lost control" of the debate.

The question might equally be asked, "If CNBC's debate moderators get their panties in a wad while questioning a few cooperative political candidates in a debate where they get to ask all the questions, how will they handle real political controversy?" The answer, of course, is like they always do--from an distance, not asking the hard questions that people care about, and catering to popular opinion rather than seeking unbiased facts. In other words, the biased question that began this post reflects not only NBC's media bias but also encapsulates the spirit of those who watch them--zombies all.

Ms. Fiorina was the only candidate on the stage (we assume) actually wearing panties (giving deference to the question), but no evidence suggested that hers were wadded in any way. We may only assume from the question that Interpol, if it is a man, secretly wears panties and mistakenly believes that all men do the same. It would be a similar mistake to believe of the candidates that they could not handle Putin.

You've hit on something quite factual indeed! A slight twist on your wording makes it very clear: If Republicans get their panties in a twist over their domestic enemy, the liberal media, how will they ever be able to handle their foreign enemy, Vladamir Putin? Yes, liberals think of conservatives as "the enemy". Republicans don't always understand the nasty treatment they receive from their fellow Americans in the Democrat party. Ted Cruz's comment that nobody would ever expect any of the debate moderators to ever vote in a Republican primary was like an arrow hitting a bullseye. So in answer to your question: Putin would be easy compared to those sleazy CNBC moderators!

Why do PANTIES, twisted or not, keep getting brought into political discussions in this country?

I don't care what Republicans do or don't do with their underwear, or how well it fits. I do care whether they would be good at running the Oval Office as well as the U.S. Congress, which actually doesn't seem to be doing anything good today, while it's under their control.

I don't think the Republican candidates would be that great at handling Putin - although to be honest, I'm kind of impressed by Trump's stance of being inconsistent, reckless, and seemingly kind of crazy. Trump by doing a fast shuffle, ducking questions about his real record and rudely mouthing off against his critics may have shown that he would drive Putin crazy, just by being strange and unpredictable and untrustworthy.

So I think it's possible Trump would be great at handling Putin, if he could get past the fact that his smart remarks have made millions of Americans hate & despise him. I think it was the "game theory" analysts who concluded that in certain kinds of games, you can get an advantage by seeming to be crazy. Trump is sometimes good at that.

Lol. It was the CNBC moderators who got the atomic wedgie that night. I knew someone here would try to spin it this way. Maybe they can deal with Putin better than than the uninformed pretty boys of television journalism because they know Putin actually knows what he's talking about. The CNBC moderators made monkeys of themselves and they richly deserved the spanking Cruz gave them. And I didn't even like Cruz before Wednesday night!

Probably the same way Obama has: by downplaying his significance while doing nothing.

You don't want to go to war. Sanctions have been ineffective. Diplomacy hasn't worked because Putin doesn't really care what people think. That exhausts the options for "handling" anything with Putin. There's nothing either party can do besides sit down and shut up, because we're just embarrassing ourselves at this point.

Are you kidding? If Republicans aren't willing to tolerate crap from moderators, what chance does Putin have?

A Republican President would be Putin's worst nightmare. Trust me! The world's tyrants have had a field day these last eight years. God willing, it will all be coming to an end soon.

So then Republicans should accept unfair questioning & character “gotcha” attacks that the Democratic candidates did not have to endure…

…because there are “worse things than that” out there?

OK, so were you EQUALLY as critical when people took Hillary to task for Bengazi? …Or her illegal e-mail activities? …And when Hillary’s panties got bunched up? …did you also take issue?

If Hilary gets her panties in a bunch over questions about e-mail, can she handle Putin?

If Hilary gets her panties in a bunch over questions about her shady allies for campaign contributions, can she handle Putin?

If Hilary gets her panties in a bunch over questions about her repeated lies, especially about the “sniper-fire” tarmac lies, can she handle Putin?

    Lose the self-righteousness.

Democratic candidates were given softball questions by cnbc. The Republicans were grilled.

    Watch both debates back-to-back.

    It’s pretty gross.

Exactly. GW Bush got walked all over by Putin, even wanting to be buddies with him LOL But Obama trashed him Putin openly and took no step backward. Bush let 3000 people get killed on 9/11, and Bin Laden ran free, unitl Obama stepped in and killed OBL. Now Obama's putting troops on the ground in Syria, watch and see how Putin won't dare to counter LOL There are F-22s over the Levant right now, even conservative Bill Whittle said so, Putin won't dare to engage! Putin's a conservative loser himself LOL Obama is our greatest commander-in-chief of all time
