Gender studies: what do you think about Donald Trump?

I'm Hispanic and Spanish. I agree with some things Donald Trump says, but the way that he says them is just way too harsh. He is promoting hate and I don't think America should go backwards. We finally had a black president and now we should move forward and embrace different races and cultures so voting for Donald Trump would be like a step backwards. His solutions are also very unrealistic. He keeps going on and on about what he plans to do, but he fails to tell you exactly how he will do and what it will cost you! He knows most of us will not look into his proposal and just vote for his name. Since his name is always on television, he knows that as soon as you see his name, you will check his name. I think we should all be smart about this and look into his plans without making rash decisions.

I find Trump's candidacy a scathing indictment of both our political system and our uneducated population. If our politicians were of any merit, someone with absolutely zero government experience wouldn't have the chance this guy has. If our people had any sense at all, they would never back a guy like him. I think a Trump presidency would be an utter disaster, and I couldn't care less what he thinks of women. He knows nothing of the actual act of governing or how to navigate our government in a real way, how knows woefully little about our foreign policy and he doesn't seem at all bothered to learn. He can spout off all he wants, but when push comes to shove, we need someone with the dignity and credibility to govern. He is just not that guy.

Donald Trump as a political candidate is proof that America is in decline. Already morally and intellectually bankrupted by religious bigotry and wilful ignorance, entertaining DT as a "legitimate" presidential candidate speaks volumes to the rest of the world about the state of the american people today. Bush made you a scary joke that we are all still paying for. DT will make you a laughing stock: the furtherest thing from 'great' that you can possibly imagine. Don't know whether to laugh or cry...

I'm a 25 year old female and I see Donald Trump as a great man.

I can't help but be dubious that there's some sort of bigger, organized plan around his campaign:

Is he there to stir the pot among the conservative base so that the Republican candidates can start talking about issues that concern the far right; and keep them going in that direction instead of compromising in the middle? And then when they do he'll pull out and give the reigns to one of the "real" candidates?

Or is he there to siphon votes over to the Hillary campaign? Is he there to make the Republicans so clownish that all the voters will associate the Republicans as being clowns? You know, he DID give a lot of money to her campaign in the past and his opinions in the past were more inline with how she used to vote.

I can't take him seriously and wonder when polls will finally show that he's not as popular anymore. I'm boggled that he's as popular as he is now.

Trump is an intelligent man who has some good ideas, but socially speaking he's a clown and doesn't seem to recognized it. The art of politics requires subtlety, some degree of emotional intelligence, tact, and sound judgment. I don't think he has any of those things.

In addition to which he panders to people's xenophobia. That is very low class.

I like him as he has the guts to say and do what lots of people wouldn't do. I think he would shake things up and that is what is needed. He is certainly different, but we need different. It takes guts to do what is right and we have a wimp in office now with all this politically correct crap that makes me ill.

I want borders closed, at least for now, I want us to take more of a stand on immigration of all kinds. I want Isis crushed and I'm sorry if some profiling will go on with Muslim people, they now have to prove to me they are not terrorists instead of me assuming they are good and only a few are. I've had it with this. I view them all with disdain. It's time to take of the burkas and be American if you live here and stop imposing your beliefs on us, and acting so offended.

I'd respect him as Commander in Chief. I would also respect Chris Christie as well, though, and I hope he rises higher in the polls as I feel he would be a great president. Both, as running mates, would make a really incredible team. We need bulldogs in the White House right not and not wimps.

The “label-happy” Democrats want to pretend he’s a racist & a sexist. They claim he’s a racist because he wants the US to actually enforce the immigration laws & liberals get all upset about that.

Democrats also see Trump insult women & they go straight to the knee-jerk response of “He’s a sexist.”

Unfortunately for Democrats… there’s a VERY long history of Trump ALSO insulting men. He insults men MORE than he insults women, so they really just should have applied some basic logic & historical fact to the situation… but why should they start now?

Trump is the only candidate with a CLEAR plan to repeal the cancerous NAFTA & plans to tax corporations who plan to go overseas & hit them in the wallet. Our country needs that more than any of the other BS that we’ve been fooled are the “pressing issues” of our day.

There are two main people running for president. Clinton and Trump.

Sounds like trump card. Anyway, Donald trump is good for economic uprisings and Hillary Clinton is good for cutting tax reforums and saving people money through consumer spendings as well as nogociations of peacefull resolutions with other countries. Trumps a power house when it comes to economic finances and dealing with people who are full of themselves seeing through the bs.

Hillary provides a peaceful resolution.

Donald provides peer pressure through analysis of how people perceive themselves.

Tough call.

I am voting for Hillary Clinton for 2 reasons. 1, there has never been a lady president. 2, I have a good feeling about her that she is going to steer us right and I hope I am not wrong.

Donald Trump's treatment of women in public:

In a 1991 Esquire interview, he said: “You know, it doesn’t really matter what [the media] write as long as you’ve got a young and beautiful piece of [expletive].”

In 2012, he tweeted that Arianna Huffington “is unattractive both inside and out. I fully understand why her former husband left her for a man—he made a good decision.”

In 2013, on Celebrity Apprentice: All-Stars, he mused about the “pretty picture” of former Playboy Playmate Brande Roderick “dropping to your knees.”

He called opposing counsel in a deposition “disgusting” for wanting to break to pump milk for her 3-month-old daughter.

In his book, How to Get Rich, he wrote: “All of the women on The Apprentice flirted with me—consciously or unconsciously. That’s to be expected.”

In 2006, he called Rosie O’Donnell an “animal,” an “extremely unattractive person,” and a “slob.”

His attack on Fox News debate moderator Megyn Kelly started after Kelly asked whether his descriptions of various women (“pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals”) suggested that Trump didn’t have the temperament to be president. Trump commented, “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes–blood coming out of her wherever.” As if the suggestion that her menstrual state was behind Kelly’s tough questioning wasn’t enough. Subsequently, Trump also tweeted a comment calling her a “bimbo”.

I am afraid to think who he treats women in private.
