All inclusive honeymoon locations in the US??

My fiance and I are in the process of planning our wedding for next year. We are currently trying to decide where we would want to go for our honeymoon.

Short story, I was really sick over the last year and a half, and for safety reasons, I would like to stay within the US. Anyone have any ideas of where to go?

I think you should widen your search to something beyond all-inclusive resorts. There aren't many in the USA.

The country is huge, and you have a ton of options depending on what you like to do and when your honeymoon will be:

Beaches: Hawaii, California, Virginia Beach, Florida, Cape Cod, Jersey Shore, Rehoboth Beach DE, Myrtle Beach, the Outer Banks, the Hamptons, Newport RI

Historic places: Boston, Washington DC, Gettysburg, Philadelphia, Charleston, Savannah, New Orleans, Louisville

Big cities: New York, Chicago, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Houston, Las Vegas

Natural sites and big landmarks: Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore, Yosemite and Yellowstone National Parks, Disneyland/Disney World, Catskill Mountains, Pocono Mountains

Skiing and outdoorsy stuff: Colorado, Vermont, Lake George NY, Maine, Finger Lakes NY, Alaska

Cruise: leave from Florida, NYC, California, Seattle, Baltimore, other locations

    Florida

Hawks Cay restort, Duck Keys FL

Club Med Sandpiper Bay, Port ST Lucia

Sirata beach resort, St Pete Beach.

Google all inclusive resorts in USA

Rocking Horse Ranch Resort, Highland NY

Miraval Arizona Resort and Spa, Tucson

    Skytop Lodge, Skytop PA

    Turtle Bay Resort, Hawaii

Also look at an Mississippi River Cruise.

They will go up the Mississippi.

  • So many possibilities. Depends really what you guys like doing together when traveling. Are you 5 star or camping/outdoor people? What time of year is the wedding, when are you going? Do you want a romantic ski week holed up in the Rockies? Or a sunny tropical vaca in Hawaii? Or New york. Or New Orleans. or a road trip along the Cali coast?

There is a few resort hotel in Myrtle Beach and in the US virgin islands that offer all inclusive packages. http://www.cheapcaribbean.com/deals/us-virgin-isla... In my experience all USA inclusive resorts tend to be overpriced and only really work in areas where the price is right and where you would not want to experience the local restaurants. Maybe you just want to spend your entire vacation in a drunk on a beach, which also seem to be the appeal for some people.

I would suggest you look at things like an Alaskan or Hawaiian cruise if you really want to stay stateside, and have things mostly inclusive.

Look on TripAdvisor and ask for "US" and "all inclusive honeymoon"

There are several places mentioned by people posting reviews for places in FLorida, and probably other states as well. I just picked Florida because there are beaches and it's warm in the winter - and given how many Northerners retire there, the hospitals are probably pretty decent.
