can you make pesto sauce w/ dried basil ?

    I use to make with dried basil, fresh parsley and other types of nuts, brazil nuts, walnuts, pecans, almonds and the traditional pinenuts, I found Chinese ones, it is the same procedure, you pulse the basil with the parsley, add the nuts, pulse more, then run as you add the oil, run until smooth or as you prefer, I never added the garlic or parmesan cheese until I used it.

    Evidently you can, but it won't have that wonderful fresh zesty zing.
