Yes, I too imagine there are no gods. The difference is, god believers figure I'm going to hell. To comment on your question, an atheist who is also a humanist generally feels respect for himself and others. No gods needed.

God created Adam and Eve with no imperfections. Had they obeyed God and not eaten of the one fruit out of the whole garden, they would still be alive and in perfect health, although nearly 7,000 years old.
