The Bible does not teach that Jesus is God, instead the bible teaches that Jehovah God and Jesus are not one but two different beings and that the Holy Spirit is Jehovah's active force. In fact when Jesus came to earth he never claimed to be God or his equal. Jesus spoke to his Father, therefore he couldn't be speaking to himself. In John17:3 Jesus said: "This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ."
