Will I get fired from my job?

So I m an evening receptionist and work Mondays and Wednesdays and this week, I ve switched days with a co-worker and am scheduled to work Thursday and Friday instead. On Monday, I received a call from my boss asking if I could work that day since my co-worker happened to get a stomach virus and I said no since I was out of town. Now today (Tuesday), she asked if I could work tomorrow (Wednesday) and I said I had plans because I made these plans according to my scheduled days of work. Will my boss fire me since I wasn t able to cover my co-worker s shifts?

    Probably not but if there is someone else that can cover, expect that you will not be getting called to pick up a bit of extra money or be considered for a raise.
